Mother’s Day Minis: What to Expect!
As Mother's Day approaches, it's time to honor the extraordinary women in our lives who have shaped us, nurtured us, and loved us unconditionally. What better way to celebrate than by capturing these precious moments with a Mother's Day Mini Session? Whether it's your own mother, grandmother, or YOURSELF as an expecting or seasoned mom, these sessions offer a beautiful opportunity to cherish and commemorate the bond between mother and child.Please read through this entire blog if you have booked with us for a session to best prep!
Experience: Step into our studio's newest set at Evergreen, where minimalist design meets modern elegance. Custom-built with draping fabrics and optional floral elements in blush and greenery, this space offers a contemporary backdrop for capturing the essence of motherhood. Even though this is a set created for Mother’s Day, the whole family is invited! There is a maximum 5 people on set, additional persons are available to add for $25 each.

Amidst this setting, discover unique features like a custom ladder symbolizing the journey of motherhood and a mantle adorned with white roses. With our skilled photographer, cherish tender moments with your little ones as they're expertly captured in this serene and beautiful environment.
What to Wear: Linen is HOT this season! For a trendy yet timeless look, consider incorporating linen pieces into your attire. Soft, breathable, and effortlessly chic, linen adds a touch of relaxed sophistication to your Mother's Day Mini Session photos. When choosing outfits, opt for colors that complement the aesthetic of our set. Cream, beige, white, blush pinks, and sage greens are perfect choices for creating a harmonious and visually stunning ensemble. On our Pinterest board we have separated our suggestions into three possible vibes: Clean, Floral, and Cottage! Find what suits your family and match accordingly. Men should wear light wash jeans or linen to keep a light and airy tone, with a matching color shirt to mom and the kids. Kids can also match their parents (ie. Dad and son, or mom and daughter).
Light blues are also great, but they should be paired with white to maintain the overall cohesive look. Remember to stay away from a lot of patterns. Choose just one person to wear a pattern while the rest stick to solid colors. This creates a cohesive and visually appealing aesthetic.

We understand that finding the perfect outfit can be a daunting task, which is why we offer recommendations for outfits for kids on Amazon, as well as access to our client closet. Additionally, one gown can be used per session for moms, adding an extra touch of elegance to your photos. Find our Pinterest board with amazon links HERE.
Our Client Closet can be accessed HERE. PLEASE NOTE: Only one client closet piece can be used per person. Grandmothers and siblings may also choose one piece. You will receive a questionnaire asking for your outfit choice following this blog post so we can have your gowns and kids outfits ready when you arrive at the studio on the day of your session.
Preparation Tips: One of the most important reminders for a successful session is to ensure everyone is well-fed and hydrated. Please remember to feed everyone before your session, preferably with lots of protein to keep energy levels up. Bringing along snacks and water is also highly encouraged to keep everyone comfortable and refreshed throughout the session.
